The aim here is to see the Bottleneck on the line. Line speed is the slowest line speed, so increasing capacity ways are followed, increase of the line shifts, overtime, new machinery and equipment purchases and to recruit new staff etc.But these are always a factor in the cost. When is compensation of new purchases or is the investment profitable questions should be answered. The opportunity cost created by the slowing down the machine should be examined.
